Marion C. and Bessie S. Salter on their 50th wedding anniversary

From 1993-2015, we held a birthday celebration for Leona Salter Wells and Myrtice Wells Edwards. After Leona Wells passed away in early 2016 at the age of 102, it was decided that the gathering of her family and her sisters' families, all descendants of Marion C and Bessie S Salter, will be continuing. In 2016, it was held as scheduled near the double birthday date, with Myrtice as the honoree.

Since then, we have scheduled the event at different locations each year. However, staring in 2020 due to health concerns, we suspended the event. We are resuming it this year.
